Sabrina Young is an accomplished editor with experience in the publishing industry spanning more than 20 years. She began her career at Publishers Group West, working with bestsellers such as Cold Mountain, winner of the National Book Award. At Perseus Books, she supported independent publishing clients (Thunder’s Mouth Press, Carroll & Graf, Marlowe & Company) and authors before joining Hachette Publishing Group as senior editor. Her list includes some of the travel imprint’s bestselling guidebooks, including the award-winning Moon USA National Parks by Becky Lomax and 52 Weekend Adventures in Northern California by columnist Tom Stienstra. She also has extensive experience in children’s books as an executive editor at Callisto Media, and continues to mentor editors and first-time authors.
Sabrina has a Bachelor of Arts in English from California State University and a Professional Sequence in Editing certificate from the University of Berkeley. Her deep experience in publishing allows her to shepherd a manuscript from acquisition to publication with a high level of guidance, support, and understanding throughout the writing and editing process.
