A graduate of the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Arts in English, Rhetoric & Professional Writing, Melissa got her start in the book industry as a bookseller at a number of famous bookstores, including The Strand, Books of Wonder, and Joseph Beth Booksellers (and still considers herself a bookseller at heart). Prior to joining Kevin Anderson & Associates, she was Senior Production Editor at Scholastic, where she worked on Harry Potter, Hunger Games, and many other books for young readers.
